And here I was going out to hunt in rawhide boots and buckskin coat, with these ancient weapons tied to the saddle, and my two biggest mastiffs beside me in their spiked collars.

Beautiful Wolfkiller is the product of 15 hours of slow, tedious work of digital painting. The face alone, meaning the different colours blended together to create (hopefully) realistic flesh, took roughly 9 hours, possibly a little longer. After the face and throat was painted, the rest came very quickly and rather seamlessly. This was inspired by several photographs of , most prominently [link] , which was used as a reference. In turn, I have painted this image as a gift for him.
